The initiative is a national pilot for an eco-certification scheme for hotels and resorts applicable to destinations throughout the Red Sea area and other tourism destinations in Egypt. The Green Star Hotel Initiative aims to stimulate the Egyptian hotel industry towards environmentally sustainable development. Our staff participates in the auditing process of the Green Star Hotel system through the capacity building program. The audits were performed at TRAVCO owned hotels (ex. Iberotel, Soly Mar Solaya and JAZ hotels.in the cities of Makadi, Coraya and Gouna.

Developed eco-tourism in the Siwa Oasis. That was done through devising eco-touristic trails suitable for trekking/cycling/4x4safari, digital mapping of the trails, pinpointing attractive eco-touristic sites, preparing pictures and narrative content on the flora, fauna, and geology of the area, preparing a plan to equip and arrange the trails, and raising the capacity of the local desert rangers through the delivery of practical trainings on eco-tourism and biodiversity.

The project is to design an ecolodge in the Bahareyya oasis area, aiming to develop and promote ecotourism, both locally and internationally, as a means of supporting nature conservation and community development. The design incorporates natural features of the oasis with local design elements in order to create a unique aesthetic experience centered around a hot water spring while providing comfortable amenities.

Prepared the geological and geophysical assessment for the slope stability of the cliff at FANARA resort. The assessment included subsurface imaging by the ground penetrating radar (GPR) method for the area under study, as well as interpreting subsurface profiles showing fractures, faults, and other geological structures.

A scoped environmental impact screening for a walkway in the Mirabelle resort in Nabq on the Gulf of Aqaba as required by the Environment Law of Egypt. This resort is a 900 rooms 4-stars resort located in the Nabq Tourism Centre.
