Preparation of skills development and capacity building programs in the required fields. The project includes organizing, preparation and applying of the programs that have been existed in 2010 – 2011 plan; this comprises trainees selection, avail halls scientific material and lecturers, evaluation of presented programs, submit evaluation reports to the ministry and following up reports and catering services for each program.

The course aimed at raising the institutional capacity of Al-Madinah Regional Municipality representatives. The course included subjects related to pesticides definition and benefits, risks and safety factors, as well as rules governing the registration, manufacture, handling and use of pesticides. The course also presented the concepts of GREEN Cities, Environmental effects and rationalization, pesticide pollution reduction and waste recycling.

Design and development of a course on environmental risk assessment as part of the Risk Engineering Diploma of Cairo University'ʹs Faculty of Engineering, with the cooperation of the Ecoles des Mines, Nancy, France, and the sponsorship of the European Union TEMPUS program. The course aims to develop knowledge related to environmental risk assessment and its processes. The course contents include an introduction to environmental systems, media, cycles and quality factors, as well as various types of pollutants, their life cycles and indicators. The course addresses a broad range of environmental management issues and concepts, including recycling, cleanup and rehabilitation, regulation, auditing, ISO 14000, cleaner production, green engineering, and awareness and communication. The course is aimed at postgraduate professionals.

The project delivered trainings for specialists in banks on international quality management systems, as embodied in the ISO 9000 family of standards, and their applications in the banking sector to over 60 banks from 12 countries in the Middle East and North Africa region. The trainings were provided in three languages (Arabic, English and French) to cater for the linguistic preferences of the trainees.

The project aims to prepare a set of tools for the selection, design and operation of hazardous waste landfills in hyper-arid areas. The tools include guidelines for site selection and environmental impact assessments, site design, site operation, monitoring and aftercare, and a training manual. The project furthermore includes a model design for a hazardous waste landfill with waste treatment facilities.
