NEW AND RENEWABLE ENERGY AUTHORITY (NREA) - ARAB REPUBLIC OF EGYPT
Submit an expression of interest to the project of developing the wind farm located in Gulf of Suez. The project is funded from Clean Technology Fund (CTF) through the African Development Bank. The scope of work includes Site visits, 12 month wind measurements campaign, wind turbine market survey, geotechnical investigation study and topographical survey, electrical grid impact assessment, conceptual design, capital and operational expenditure estimates, risk and opportunities assessment, project implementation schedule, estimation of the expected reduced fuel consumption and expected reduction in CO2 and final study report.
Expression of Interest for conducting Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for 100 MW Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) Project at Kom Ombo
NEW AND RENEWABLE ENERGY AUTHORITY (NREA) - ARAB REPUBLIC OF EGYPT
An ESIA study aims to bring the project into compliance with applicable national environmental and social legal requirements and international organizations’ environmental and social policies. The ESIA aims also to outline the mitigating/enhancing, monitoring, consultative and institutional measures required to prevent, minimize, mitigate or compensate for adverse environmental and social impacts, or to enhance the project beneficial impacts. It shall also address capacity building requirements to strengthen environmental and social capacities. The project is funded from Clean Technology Fund (CTF) through the African Development Bank (AfDB) towards the development of a 100 MW Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) Project.

The project aims at determining the specific sites in Egypt that have suitable characteristics to construct a successful wind farm on.
